I noticed this on Youtube. This guy builds his whole garden railway from scrap and came with a very interesting approach on the trackwork. Also some information on a scratdhbuild engine with some innovative solutions. I love the wheels!

Wish he had allowed a bit more time to read the captions. One has to be a very fast reader to get it all. I'm still not sure I completely understand how and why he built the track the way he did. The loco is a nice bit of scratch building.

Yes, it is indeed a bit of a speed reading test The reason why he builds it this way is a bit unclear to me as well. Perhaps lower costs. The wooden sleepers did not work / came looose. What I like about his work is that i is completely scratchbuild.
