| Just had a most enjoyable half hour watching Patrice et Rene.
Particularly interesting the preparations for steaming up.
Showing my ignorance here, what are the three loco's depicted - the diesel and two steam?
Cheers Brian | |

| The steam locos are, Patrice and Rene's locomotive is a 'Cail' originally from Panama. The other red steam locomotive is a 2-6-0T Corpet Louvet. CFBSClick on CFBS en détail then Nos collections. There are some pages in English. The diesel is a homebuilt machine on an old steam loco chassis originally from the BA (Blanc Argent). CF BA | |

| The Corpet on e bay was just the LGB 030.
The real Corpet on the CFBS is a much rarer 130 type.
Ralph Reppingen once promised a model of this engine. I will contact him this year and ask him as to the progress....
There are a few French live steam engines (occasionally for sale) built by François Laluque, an engineer who lives not too far from me. | |
