| Morning all - here's a useful tip from the Gn15 forum about gluing resin kits without the need for 'superglue' or anything that gives off fumes: http://forum.gn15.info/viewtopic.php?t=5096 - I still have some resin kits to put together, so I might well give this a try soon | |

| I have tried PVA on foamboard to fasten fine sand for rendering a building and this does NOT provide a secure fixing. Not sure why it should work with resin and not foamboard. | |

| The best thing I've found apart from the expensive POLA cement is the "No Nails" type adhesive sold here for fixing skirting boards, my much repaired POLA buildings are holding together well with it though they haven't been exposed to 40 degree heat yet! | |

| As an aside, I've just noticed my Chipside engine shed (a Pola kit from about 2003) is hanging on by a thread. That was put together with liquid poly cement - and lots of it, too. I reckon the next strong breeze will do for it, so perhaps some rebuilding work is due. Also my water crane appears to have been stepped on by something or someone - totally shattered into minute shards of plastic. | |

| I made a water crane as good as the POLA one from 15mm copper pipe and corner joints. More robust and it also works. Outlet continually flowing .... down drain into a sump where a small pond pump pushes it all round again. You can switch it off via a manual switch or can be controlled by trains as they pass. |

| Unfortunately it is packed away somewhere in the loft (house move). It's only a variation on the everlasting tap and watering can idea though. I'll have to dig it out. |
