Today we went to Normandy to collect our daughter.

We decided to go to houlgate to spend the rest of the day at the beach.

Guess were we found a place to park

Just in front of the car

The station was right next to us

And the most amazing was the name of the street.

I went to pick up my daughter up in Normandy (Calvados) yesterday too.!

By deduction you may have gathered correctly that the 2 girls were at the same place.

They were doing a weeks 'voltige' with beautiful Haflinger ponies at the academie in Pont L'eveque.

That was a lucky find with the station Laurent. If I remember this line goes to Deauville and then on to Lissieux. It is part electrified as I saw some cantenary at Pont L'eveque. They must use these new bi-mode railcars.

I forgot to mention, that we met Carl near Pont l'éveque to collect both our daughter on hollidays there, next to a beautifull lake. In fact we started the journey at about the same time and joint just on the way out of the motorway lot's of waving cheers .

For the train station, I saw a lot of people waiting for the train, but we were already a bit late. So we had to go. No pictures of the train.
That bit wasn't electrified. It's electified until Deauville as last year we spend a week on hollidays not far and the line was eletrified.

The station is about 5 minutes walking from the beach. The boot of the car was full of toys to built castle or dig hole in the sand Very Happy , the tide was hight so no promenade on the sand bank.

Next time we will do the trip by train. It's about 2h30 from Paris. The last bit of the line is very nice.
