| That's an intriguing 'network' Brian with lots of operational possibilities. I'm still trying to work out the permutations. | |

I'm still working them out myself. One I particularly like is contra running two or more loco's through the passing loop, using the upper and lower circuits, if I get the speeds right they run virtually automatically switching from upper to lower circuits without any intervention. Quite nice to just sit and watch with a glass of wine!

Mikey It's a trick I learnt when I did my LRPS. If you wait til dusk rather than full darkness and take pics about half hour after the sun sets, you can balance the light from buildings with the sky. I did take about thirty shots at about 30 second intervals to get the best balance!

| BTW
I've wired a kind of ring main with 1.5mm cable around the whole layout to power buildings, signals and other ancilliaries. It's simply hooked up to an old 12 volt car battery!
I was very lucky with the secondhand Pola buildings I bought - the Signal box and Engine shed were already wired with lights, the rest are 12v E10's courtesey of Conrad.fr

| On Thursday afternoon, a large man on a motorbike appeared, demanding the return of HIS Lawley. A fine afternoon of playing trains and drinking wine followed.

| With the onset of thirty degree heat, the Fat Controller has decided that a suitable office be provided for monitoring train operations. Digging out our 1970's tent, makes an excellent retreat from the Sun....

| The heat also seems to have affected some of the inhabitants... A passing representative from the EU has noticed that Jean-Louis' onions don't meet EU guidelines and has reported the matter to the Gendarmerie ....

| OOps, looks like the Onion Johnny isn't faring any better over there than he did over here... Nice pics again Brian, and that is indeed a very evocative 'twilight' shot above. Can I ask, where did you source the other figure from? Could be an interesting base for a bash, I think, if it were cheap enough | |

Mikey Great pics. I can just imagine you in that tent with sideburns, permed hair do, flairs and smoking something rolled, listening to Mungo Jerry on a cassette player. I see the dog has got the villain train robber covered. 'you're not having the big green one it belongs here'. That solex bike looks just brilliant. It seems like the gendarme is quite impressed with the size of his onions.

They are marked " Bullyland Made in Germany" and judging by the ghetto blaster and the size of President Obamah's mobile they are circa 1980 ? I would love toknow if they were still in production, they are full of charachter, a mite bigger than Preiser/ LGB and made of a rubbery rather than plastic material. I personally wouldn't want to "bash" them! I love them the way they are! Pic upload failed again on servimg - have emailed pic to Carl. Note from Carl....
Pic hosted on my paid website server.
There is still an ongoing and noted problem with servimg. If it is not resolved in the next few days I will organise some other picture hosting.

| On that subject, i'd be interested in knowing the steps to making the building as a whole - you can keep the roof a secret if you like! - any pics of progress along the way? | |
