I forgot to mention,,,
Our local ALDI has a stock of paint brush sets, a set of 10 in perfect modelling sizes for 99 cents.
I bought a couple of sets Friday and having tried them, the quality is good!
I don't know if it's a National / International promotion, but worth checking out if you have one local!

No luck with any brushes in our branch of ALDI, plenty of cheap pants and socks but no brushes.
