| Nice pic and weather!
Question, though - how much time on average would you say you spend cleaning your track?

| I clean the whole lot (over 110 meters) about once a month, this is occasionally done by my LGB track cleaning loco, but usually done with an LGB track cleaning block and "elbow grease". The cutting behind the fir tree in the picture above usually needs cleaning every time I run trains - either due to leaves off the laurel bush, or dirt which splashes on the track after rain. | |

| Especially as one of Charlotte's school friends has taken a shine to garden railways. (This is the cutting which gets dirt splashes and leaves in it ) | |

| Posting at 5:55 am??? What's up mate, can't sleep? (says he, bashing away on a keyboard at Southampton Airport at 7:50)
Nice pic though. I like the spooky shadows cast by the steps on the signal box... Is that a Preiser figure lurking bottom right?

| At this time it's nice and cool, lot's of smoke I was in the garden this morning cutting trees invading my garden with nasty berries, the neighbourg are not there. Now it's 09:00 and it's already too warm, in the south of France at 06:00 they had already 26°c, since 3 days they have 37°c everyday. Here today it's going to be a very warm day. | |

| My missus got up at 3.00 a.m. (She works for Monarch Airlines ). I dropped off after she had gone and woke again at 5.30. The figure if an LGB one - a big bloke compared to other figures at this scale. Here's a variation of the pic....... | |

| Off to the Llanfair Garden Railway show this morning to meet Clive T and a few other G arden Railway friends. In my opinion, this is one of the best shows in the UK. | |

| I've now had the chance to go through my pics of our visit to Paul's, and I have managed to sift out the rubbish (of which there was much!) You can see the results of my labours here: http://clivesgscalerailways.fotopic.net/c1751802.htmlHope you enjoy them, and thanks to Paul for a great little running session, and for your hospitality. Sorry about my son Steven eating you completely out of eccles cakes! He was a hungry lad though, it has to be said. | |

| Great pics Clive of a great layout - fascinating how subtly different the layout looks through the eyes of a visitor! Gives it real perspective!
I think the pics of Paul's new Steam loco get my vote for a landing page pic for the forum!

| Thanks Brian. I recall commenting to Paul that no amount of photos of a layout can ever compensate for not seeing it with one's own eyes - which strangely enough was more or less exactly what Carl said to me when he came to visit a couple of weeks ago!
By the way, I should also mention (in case I have not already done so) that during this visit we also enjoyed the company of Alec (new-ish! member on here) and also Bruce and Mrs Bruce, whom we haven't seen for a couple of years when they paid us a visit.
