Anybody got any 'evidence' (pictures preferably) of narrow gauge trains (metre gauge if poss), running with carriage or wagon wheels of different diameter (obviously not on the same wagon) ie a carriage with 60cm wheels attached to one with 50cms?

So Mikey, you have run out of wheels of the correct size and want to see if there was a prototype to allow you to use different size wheel-sets? Come on own up! clown

not really Mike.Following a discussion on the other channel regarding metal wheels i have built a carriage with IP engineering wheels which are 3cm diameter (60cm full size and most common wheel size on french rolling stock) My other coaches and wagons are fitted with LGB standard wheels. i just want to know if these could have been run together. I get di**heads looking at my railway and they ask all sorts of questions. just would like to have answer for them!! :

He's probably found something that remotely looks like a wheel off of something that nobody else would ever imagine has any model railway use.... Idea cyclops

I envisage a pennyfarthing train.... Rolling Eyes

I know that different size wheels have been used but I can't find any pictures.

Have a look at old MTVS reviews there are often wagon and coach plans with the wheel diameters

For sure different sized wheels were even used on the same boige.....In the UK a Feltham tram for example.

Well in that case, how about a steam loco for a steep rack line that has big wheels at the back and small ones at the front instead of a sloping boiler and equal sized wheels to keep the boiler level on the incline? Suspect
