Yep, inevitable... but I just had to do it.
These were made last thursday afternoon. Batteries went flat after a few minutes due to the cold and I got frozen fingers but after all very nice pictures.

But I have to be honest; they are all posed. The tracks were frozen up on some places and operation of the turnouts was impossible. So no real service took place! Embarassed

Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Paul

YEP! We are very dedicated to this so the little people keep warm! Wink

The green car is a converted LGB Toytrain Caboose into something more European looking staff car or something.
See also: GartenBahn DataBase.

The whole building story is on:

and for the whole building story: Europ-a-nising a caboose but the pictures are moved to my Fotki pages: LGB Staffcar

Nope, but Now I have just "Painted" one. Not to scale but it gives an idea:

Lightgray = road
Gray= rock/stone or houses
Green= bushes etc.

The grey dot is the water tower. The brown dot is the turntable.
The redbrown dot is a tree...
The blue is water cyclops

Thanks Garrett! A snowplow would be very handy! Although... it has not snowed for a few days now, only frozen.
That what is left behind is rock hard ice... Perphaps an icebreaker would be more efficient now...
Inevitable snow pictures... 166561 Nice picture btw!!!!

I visited the Murtalbahn in Austria a few years back and took pictures of something similar like the picture below. I always wanted to build something like that (one of the thousand projects in my head... One day...).

My one fear for problem a car mounted plough would be the weight (lack of and need for).

YouTube is full of plough videos. A lot of good ideas.

I really like the look of those covered snowplow cars.

Since my railway supposed to be somewhere in France I was also looking for a snowplow in a more French design.
Did not find so many railway related but I did came across the upmost French design you'll ever find...
