Old Train of the Puy de Dôme Empty

Hello and happy new year and sorry for not contributing too much!

A friend from Clermond-Ferrand sent me a link to a site where you will find an interesting slideshow about the old train that used to carry tourists to the top of the Puy de Dôme. Lots of very nice old postcards and a technical surprise, at least to me : the train does not use a rack system to make for the slope, but horizontal wheels pressing a central rail. They also say that a new railway will be built there in 2012!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that you need to have PowerPont installed on your PC to see the slideshow. Or you can download the PowerPoint slideviewer which is free ("télécharger la visionneuse" on the site).
