If I know the track radius, the body width and length and the bogie length does anyone have a formula that tells me how near to the ends of the loco I put the two bogies to equalise clearance on the inside and outside of curves ?

I haven't got anything specific to hand but I'm sure there are articles in the smaller scales.

You could try some of the groups that set and publish standards like the NMRA or in Europe MOROP

I'll have a look also in some old French mags.
