It's come around again and for the third year running the small exhibition with a big following.
St Aubin du Thenney is in Normandy at the limit of departments 27 Eure and Calvados 14. A few kilomteres from Orbec and junction 15 of the A28 motorway Rouen - Tours and about 20 kms from Bernay where there are direct trains to Paris, Rouen, Lisieux and Caen.
Anyone who comes and brings something to run will be well fed and 'watered' during the day and evening and entry is free. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and accomodation can be arranged locally.
I shall be there with the portable layout plus this year with 'MOMI module Normand' but not connected to the portable layout unless we make a quirky branch line....
I will also take some separate 32mm track and run a shuttle.
Troy. There will be a big meal in the hall this time at Saint Aubin for invited guests on Saturday night. If you want to go home here before or I'm sure we can find somewhere comfortable for you to freshen up. There is also a big 'do' in the bar/resto very near my house on Friday night should you wish to come over for that. Please also see my PM about Railexpo.
'Invited guests' from my part include anyone from the forum who comes and brings a locomotive to run. I'm very sorry but I can't provide any more accomodation chez moi as we are now full...not even in a wooden shed. However I can help find a hotel nearby if anybody wants to stay.
Also this year there will be a stand selling trains and accessories, Star Models.

Thank you.
It's a hell of a long way for you and other 'southerners' for a village show. The atmosphere is very convivial and welcoming though. Everyone knows each other and 'tu' even if you have just met. If you ever did want to come, accomodation and food would be free.
I have just come back from the hall setting up the main layout. All ready to run tomorrow and just the cidererie to take in the twingo.
There will be at least 12 steam engines available to run....and I have a new one!
Troy is coming from England so there'll be a few decent photo's then.

Geat to have you there. Your French has improved and people were very happy you came. Several people asked me late on Sunday about you. Especially that woman who's got your photo. I was completely wrecked Sunday night and I'm sure you were tired too.
It would have been impossible to do that on my own. Your Superior performed remarkably the whole weekend so much so that I only ran four of my steam locos. But I did run Jean Claude's Emma, François's Chaloner and Caradoc after some repairs!!!
I'm sorting some film and photos and will post them asap.

It's only been steamed a few times, plus full radio. Oddly enough the prototype for this one still runs on a line just around the corner from my mother's house. Here's a few photos of this weekend.I'll load up the vids tonight on youtube and post them when they're ready.

Well done for taking and posting the films and pics. I'll try and do mine tomorrow.
The diesel was on Saturday when I forgot to fit the silencer. It didn't sound too bad in the film. It was horrendous actually in the hall. I like the part where girls who are holding their noses.

And a bit of film too when it's finished processing.
