Those familiar with the FC GVC may know that I have spent the last 7 years figuring out how to provide a tunnel roof to my 8 ft tunnel on a 5 feet curve.
The requirements are that it should be weatherproof through the summer, easily removable in emergencies and storable away from site for track maintenance and cleaning.

The solution appears to be

Just lay it on some kind of temporary former and hydrate it. Strong enough to be self supporting and light enough to remove. The supplier will send a 1 metre square sample for about £20.

Interesting stuff, sort of a new take on papier mache. Seems expensive, though. Probably due to its military applications.
