Managed a quick weekend visit to England being kindly invited by members of TDS and took in Swanley narrow gauge show.

Mostly very small layouts but some fine modelling.
There was would you believe a nice chap from France with this excellent Gn15 layout

The tipper wagons actually work and deposit their load with help from a vertical arm into the hopper.

The line terminates in a car park at the former Tunbridge Wells West station.

Then on Sunday we made a morning visit to the Kent and Esat Sussex Railway starting our journey at the delightful town of Tenterden.

Great shots from what looks like a great weekend!

The mine wagons on the Gn15 layout are superb - particularly the Decauville type, has me thinking again about my project.

Thanks for sharing!

I thought of you immediateley when I saw that.

The tipper wagon bodies were made from card! The wagon chassis (except for one modified Bachman) were homemade from brass with HO wheelsets. The locos were all scratchbuilt too.

What I really liked about this layout was the falling scenery towards the front with the line on 3 levels.

The operating mechanism was amazing and has given me a few ideas too.

The spooky thing was the name...Saint Aubin....and also the briqueterie theme. He had never heard of the Briqueterie Lagrive at Lisieux. All this was built from imagination.

This was his first exhibition and Jean Claude was deseperately trying to book him for Railexpo. I hope he was successful.

Thanks Carl, for the picture of the Tenterden signal box. It was the prototype for the one on my Kent & North Wales Light Railway. I got to the Swanley NG show too. Well worth the effort, but sadly I didnĀ“t take any photos. Much inspiration for those of us who model in larger scales.
