As you may have noticed from other threads that Carl and I will be exhibiting our "Cider", "Cognac" and "Auvergne Mine" modules at Cergy, Paris on the 22,23 & 24th March.

Ferrovi'art is much smaller than RailExpo occupying just one hall.

Unlike RailExpo and Euromodels, given the limited nature of the three modules we can't offer to accomodate visiting rolling stock, but we would still love to see any forum members that can make the trip.

Unfortunately Carl's usually negotiated benefits for forum members shan't apply, but we hope that won't put you off attending if you're passing that way at the time!

Hi Carl

At the mo, my connections to the surface (45mm) track are...

(inner - inner) & (outer-outer) as per MOMI spec

with an integrated 18V LGB controller for the middle (loading dock/turntable rails)

Ferrovi'art 2013 Contro10

I can switch the middle section from (Integrated-OFF- MOMI) as required

What do we need to change for the Expo?

I was planning to rely on straight track connections to the mining module unless you deem otherwise? Rolling Eyes

That' all fine by me...I'll bring the Avometer and soldering iron anyway just in case we have any short circuits.... Embarassed

I'll be running some radio contolled battery stuff plus some live steam and a bit of diesel of course.

Somehow, I´m beginning to get a bad conscience that I´m not planning to visit. Yet.

Well that was that, Ferrovi'art over for another year.

A big thanks to Brian for making the long and expensive 6 hour journey and I hope you got back okay.

The modules were IMO excellent together and attracted a great deal of interest.

I have a few reasonable pictures and less reasonable video to post later but I'll leave you with this for the moment.

Sorcerer and apprentice perhaps....

Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro010

There is also this well taken film from Jean-Noel Pizot who often appears at Railexpo.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGN4g0p8DDs

The dominant background sound is Brian's impressive Edrig whistle and Jean-Claude promoting 'les très bon sandwichs'... Laughing

Hi Carl

Yes back safe and sound at 11 last night so not a bad run!

Huge thanks for sharing the apartment at the OLIVARIOUS a considerable step up from Formule Une and allowing me to enjoy the benefits of an honorary member of the TDS (Traverses des Secondaires) for the weekend!

Trying to sort out various videos including the first run of Van's diesel and the world exclusive Cognac fired Regner Max. Will try and post tomorrow!

My selection of pictures taken.

Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro011
Friday morning at 07.30
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro012
An hour later.
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro013
Brian arrived earlier than expected and we were operational just after a nice lunch.
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro014
Battery powered, radio controlled 'locotracteur'.
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro015
Untidy Cidrerie.
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro016
The 3 modules measure some 4.3 metres connected together which they did with precision!
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro017
Normandy's chief export.
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro018
The sign says 'Drink cider and you will live longer'.
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro019
Saturday morning before the accident......! scratch
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro020
We had a small selection of live steam, Brian's Edrig with loud whistle, my Regners including a couple of Maxes.
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro021
The accident on Saturday. Cool
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro022
Someone had too much cider and 'lost control' of the HY. Shocked
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro023
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro024
The accident was actutally an 'accident' when some straying little fingers disturbed the scene. So we elaborated it and it became quite an attraction.
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro025
However the biggest attraction was Brian's mine section with the narrow gauge train running round and disappearing through tunnels all day.
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro026
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro027
Regner Emma on shunter duties. This venerable locomotive is over 10 years old and performs very well when asked. Slow speed control achieved just using the forward/reverse turret valve.
Ferrovi'art 2013 Ferro028
Not quite so for the Regner Chiemseebahnlok which requires constant attention in such a confined space although when set up properly ran very smoothly the weekend.
