There are often good ideas on this forum but once in while a brillaint idea comes along.  Idea

This is great and a case of why didn't I think of it before.

Ready made tramway inset track.

What are the dimensions please Laurent? The flangeway gap, depth and the 'rail' surfaces width.

Thanks.

The brand is "HETTICH".

There the one you saw and there's another one that looks like a rail with a large flat feet that could be screwed.

It´s got to be easier than laying four tracks to allow for space for the wheels and then pouring Polyfilla over everything without checking clearances ....

P.S. Clearances on curves are different from those on the straight parts, even if you think that narrow gaps look better at the beginning of the job  Shocked

They cannot bend a lot, possibly cutting half on each side every few centimeter might do the trick. Not sure how it will look.
The rail I bought are made of aluminium, there's some made of plastic as well.
