Well despite the frivolous comments regarding girlies from Gosport or Tulle I've done a bit more.

Simple axle boxes and chassis

Full frontal

The roof was a bit difficult to get right, made from aluminium.

As it was another FRENCH PUBLIC HOLIDAY - Lundi pentecôte so I thought a little more modelling was called for until visitors arrived with their own new trains from the neighbouring town!

Now sporting a coat of white primer plus opening doors made and fitted.

It's really freelance Mikey but ideas and artistic licence are from a variety of American speeders and MOW vehicles such as Fairmont and Fairbanks.

Well, red is my favourite colour.

New project Speede10

This is SNCF Autorail red in water based acrylic from Interfer.

I am finding it difficult to spray in a thin coat evenly. It's not the same as spirit based paints and needs careful handling.

Finished coats of red paint and glazing fitted.
The glazing was cut from CD cases. This is about 1mm thick, scores and cuts easily and is very clear.

I would like to get this finished and bring to the BIG weekend if possible. Still quite a few detail bits to do but it's coming on.

That flat bed bit at the back, is that like a crew seating area, or is it some sort of tool storage?

Nice model btw
