Heeded all the warnings but all we got were two rolls of thunder, a couple of lightening flashes and that was it. Not a drop of rain. got up this morning to a clear blue sky!

The only good thing is the car was really clean this morning.

lol, your sat dish is maybe a bit small, because 2 or 3 years ago they changed the way they send the signal from the sat to put it more concentrated on UK territory. They were too much easily receivable outside UK as now BBC and some other channel are free.
So next to Paris you need a dish of 1m, more south you are, the dish have to be bigger.
I still have some glitch when there a big storm, but not last night.

Big storm last night - what a lighning display - seemed to be coming up from Mikey's direction.
Were you OK down there Mike in the deep south ?
Only damage here was to wash out a station platform area I'd been cementing - making La Courriere Gare look like a scene from the last days of Pompei !
The same is due again tonight - so another evening of unplugging everything from Telephones to TV cables.

Yes massive here as well. At one point there was a 'thunderbolt' very close to the house. bit scary. the best bit was this morning getting up to clean fresh air with no humidity.Boy we needed that rain. no damage.

Certainly did need the rain, the water tank's back up to 5000 litres - phew! Thought I might have to forgo running the Live Steamer in favour of flushing the loos - would have been a tough decision
