North Wales is a Mecca for narrow gauge enthusiasts.
The recently opened Welsh Highland Railway (Now that the full length of track is laid) is stunning.
The list of NG in our vicinity: (no particular order)

1. Festiniog Railway
2. Welsh Highland Railway (Caernarfon)
3. Welsh Highland Railway (Portmadoc)
4. Talyllyn Railway
5. Welshpool and Llanfair Railway
6. Bala Lake Railway
7. Snowdon Mountain Railway (Rack)
8. Llanberis Lake Railway
9. Corris Railway
10. Glyn Valley Tramway (No track laid yet)

Plus the standard gauge Llangollen Railway

Great pics Alec. the little details will be a great help in modelling. Can't understand why the other channel gave you grief!

Hi Alic, Nice pics. I have lots of 35mm slides of the railways in North Wales I took in the 60’s and 70’s must scan them sometime.
Have they made the link yet between the WHR and the Ffestiniog line at Porthmadog and does it run on its old route down the street (hed madog)?

The track link is made, has been tested, but not in service until the signals where it crosses the mainline are paid for and installed.
Me and Alec have walked the track.
It doesn't follow the old route though..........Alec knows more about that..........
