As mentioned elsewhere with my impending move I am rationalising stock.

First to go very sadly is this.

Roundhouse Carrie Decsteam3

It's about 4 years old and has run in the region of 40 hours mostly at exhibitions.
Never thrashed, overloaded or abused, always run and maintained in working condition with care.

As originally Roundhouse supplied with no modifications.
It has still unused the ubiquitous Roundhouse wallet of duster, oil, a few tools and spares.
It comes with factory fitted 2 channel 40Mhz Hi-Tec radio control.

It is very reliable and the unusual Hackworth valve gear is a joy to watch.

The new list price was over £1000 when they were made.
One recently sold on e bay for £851 which is 930€

I have advertised this locally to friends and this forum ONLY at moment and I will sell it for the first offer (if any) over 800 euros (not pounds) by the 14th of October before I put it on e bay with a reserve.

Postage should be a maximum of 20€ in France and 30€ to the U.K.

Carrie has now been sold and is on its way to a new railway.

Postage cost for future reference was 37.45 euros from France to 'Grande Bretagne', via La Poste 'Colissimo International' including full-value insurance.

It concerns me why in the past I have paid in excess of £50 for items half the value and less weight but similar size from UK to France via Royal Mail Parcel Farce. Neutral

I will have some more quality items for sale shortly.

Hopefully I will get the chance at a little steam-up this coming weekend.

Nothing wrong with postal service then!

48 hours normal delivery door to door. Pretty damn good. Bravo Laposte-Coliposte

Nice little engine, and I hope as much pleasure is gained in Portsmouth as it was in Chelles and the handful of exhibitions it performed impeccably at.

They are collectors items now!
