| Nice little collection of weeds in your engine shed Paul! How is it bearing up under the rigours of several North Wales winters? | |

Yes, the weeds got their "Come uppence" after I took the pictures.
That's a shame, I thought perhaps you had become the first person to model a g-scale drug den! Nice pics though, as ever.

| As usual interesting photos, I love watching the progress of you railway it’s always an inspiration. I do keep track of all your postings but don’t comment every time because I bet you really get fed up of all the ‘Praise’ of your line and your Photographic skills.

| Since the reinstatement of the Linz Gstadt Bahn back in December 2010 it has been run by a preservation society (Me ) . So yesterday at The Llanfair show when I saw this little rascal for sale, the committee unanimouisly decided to buy it and bugger the consequences. Now that the railway is run by a preservation society, this loco will not be allowed to get dirty (weathered). | |

I sold it on Ebay to a guy in Switzerland, a dealer I think. The reasons why........... The first G scale loco I ever saw was a Stainz back in 1973 as a thirteen year old. The image has been indelibly imprinted on my brain and its got to the point where if it ain't the same, it isn't right (Knowing full well that the LGB loco is not to scale in some respects - the gauge for example. Now the Regner Stainz is different to an LGB Stainz in its scale and proportions, and is too big against LGB wagons and coaches. Some of you that run live steam know, the loco demands your complete attention. Now, for me, I want to be able to look at my loco in action in a state of complete relaxation, not holding a r/c unit, wondering if the gas is about to run out or if there's enough water in the boiler....... So putting all the factors together, I decided to sell it on.

| Thanks Paul for sharing your railway. I enjoy watching how a garden railway transforms over years and in your case, a rebirth! And a belated congratulations on your layout article in the August 2010 Continental Modeller.

| Welcome back Paul, I hope this year has gone ok for you. Your railway is still looking good.
The weather has been a problem I guess for lots of us. I am hoping for more inspiration next year.
