I spoke with Carl some time ago about having a site logo. Something in the classic style like the old French/German/Austrian coats of arms that appeared on all their coaches etc.

I've trawled all the free logo designers but cant find anything suitable.
If anybody else can find anything or even design something it would be good. give us an identity.

Yes...
Thanks for looking Mikey.
I had in mind something like the old Tramways logos like the Sarthe or Correze.

When I get more time I will get a bit more involved in this. I don't think we want to go the whole badges and signs jobby at this stage but I do like nice logos. Surprised

At the moment I'm a bit occupied preparing for RailExpo.

Hang on a mo! I thought we were a broad church and not limited to Eurpean outline railways.

1. Modellers of Continental railways in the garden
2. Modellers with railways in gardens on the continent

the quoted styles are just examples Geoff. could just as easily have said 'like the logos/arms on the old-time western/US trains or even the Australian ones. throughout history railway companies have had them. I was meaning old style rather than the modern image logos.

Yes...... it's just a style to copy or get some ideas from Geoff, a bit of typograhy not representative of any actual railway or country.

I've been looking at American art too as many of the older companies had some great logos.

If anyone has any suggestions..... Smile

Mikey...did you ever come up with anything?

I must admit to not having had the time really. If anyone else has a good suggestion or design I would be interested.

Sorry John but no Elephants just at the moment....and badges mmm, we were talking about some T shirts perhaps for the summer.
