As Carl quite rightly stated a while ago, the village of Demiel has outgrown its station. There is no accomodation for the chef de la gare and a very small goods hall. I have been sub-contracted by Monsieur Benet to contstruct a new station. I haven't bothered to take progress pictures until now. 4 pieces of wood screwed together, windows and doors cut out with jigsaw, and plastic right-angles for the 'quoins' . the effect is all in the decoration and the little details, which i can now start. As of now;

That's going to be an impressive BV.

That's brilliant 'bash and boil' construction and it'll be great to see the progress.

Looks good Mikey! A very solid construction as far as I can say.
No windows/doors at the back?

So the wife didn't mind you cutting up her cupboard for the materials? What a Face

Just the one door at the back, all the others and the windows have closed shutters (the station is set back against the trees so the back isnt really visible.
Its made from 'voliges', the wood that goes on a roof under the tiles. 4mts x 16mm for 3.20 euros

The windows have been installed (5mm perspex with cutouts from planting box for frames);
The platform and goods quay added. Just the small details and the roof to go. Bit lost as to what font to use for the station names(bearing in mind they were mostly 'engraved' in the walls;

You don't waste any time.....or materials. Razz Excellent.

A station in a day. Shocked

The station names were often cast into the side but just as often on blue enamal signs.

I did mine (Chelles-sur-Marne.... Sad ) on the PC, printed and plasticised.

Clever! That saves a lot of time and effort sawing out windows!

Not quite finished; got the chimneypots to add, and generally 'bed it in', but its finished enough to replace the old station!

You have a knack of guessing ahead Clive!! We have extended the enclosed area and first thought about another village with a loop, then i thought about further industry: cider press,distillery etc. Now glyn has decided on a water feature; sunken moulded pool with solar fountain and a couple of pleasure boats, and a small halt for the trains
