PostSubject: Light Box   Light Box EmptySat Oct 31, 2015 2:44 pm

This morning, I built a light box.
It was not intended for a while, but my little one needed it, for some homework.
So I made one.

First, I went to the local tools shop to buy some wood, a glass panel and various bits in order to do it.

The local tool shop is a bit expensive for the led strip, if I had time, I would have buy it from one of the chinese shop.

Some of the tools I use.

The box is nearly completed. I will have to find a better connection for the electricity.
Only the led strip on the edge is connected for the moment, I need a specific cable in order to connect the middle strip, at the bottom of the box.

It took me a whole morning to do it. Now I need that other cable.

And some white paint for the bottom of the box.

Looking good, but what is the purpose of it? I don't think your little one will look at radiation photos. Maybe for drawing on transparent (?) paper?

Well, he had to do some copy of "enluminure", the drawing you find in Middle ages books.
Then he has to add some text onto it, by hand, no computer.

He had to tell a story of a battle, so the text is about a battle between France and England (English loose this one).

So, we created a template on the computer with the picture to copy.
Then did some tranfert by hand. He added the text in line.
Everything has to be done on a white page (blank).

The idea is to show what people were doing before the invention of Gutenberg press. Copy story and decorate books.

So the job is handwriting for the teachter  pirat

And me, I have some other use for later.

Well I spray some paint where I could, I should have done it before gluing the strip led.

A lesson learnt for the next time...

The picture don't really show how the light work, but it's really good.
