| Subject: Chinese toy - but French prototype? Sat Apr 25, 2009 3:56 pm | |
| I found this for 29 Euros in a Maison de la Presse. It's only a toy - the wheels aren't even properly round and the "connecting" rods don't move. It's clearly hand built from bits and bobs but - the wheels are more or less 45mms apart and - it's obviously meant to look like a real French 19th century loco. Looks vaguely familiar, but can't find it in my mags and books collection...The only identification is a "made in China" sticker. Any ideas what it might be? Anyone seen anything like it? Phil | |

| Interesting stuff Phil. Would look great in a siding somewhere as a static model.
It could vaguely be a Crampton or even an early Fives-Lille perhaps. | |
