| A super piece of work - i just wish i could do stuff like this with wood.
At the risk of pre-empting your next post, how are the power bogies attached?

Have you got some technical drawing to make the right scale ? No.I build by eye using pictures. It's what makes most of my models .....errrr....sort of never quite right They're built quick, rough, using minimal tools and designed to be looked at from a distance

| I'm very glad to see that again and it looks excellent.
Getting that cab shape must have been a challenge where angles meet curves.
What happen to the real one. Is it still there in the woods miserably rotting away?

As far as I'm aware it's still there. It must be in a right state now.Shame really.Even if they just painted it up and put it on static display would be better than a slow death in the trees.Although I'm not really a train person,it was very big and impressive to get up close, away from a platform.Being a bit of a softy I felt very sorry for it

| Bit of work to do on the lights and the roof profile is a bit shallow but a very proud Oscar. Ready for topcoat in blue and yellow. I now have to build a chassis for it and work out what the lumpy bits between the bogies are | |

| Nice paint job Troy - is it acrylic paint you've used there?
Also, did I understand you correctly that you intend 'distressing' it when the time comes?

| Good old Halfords spraypaints.Good as gold.I've used a 'Rover Teal Blue'.Seems to fit the bill. This 'will'need some serious weathering. The photos do it justice.I quite like it now.Wish we'd worked harder on it | |

| What will you do for markings/insignia? Decals, or will you paint them on with masking tape etc? | |

| I'm going to experiment with computer generated decals on waterslide paper. I remember reading an article years ago though. Some papers go clear with waterbased lacquer and some go clear with acrylic.A bit of testing is in order. | |

| I await the results of your testing with great interest! Is the decal paper ok with normal inkjet printers? I seem to remember there was a discussion somewhere ages ago about the problems of printing white graphics - which of course is what the old BR symbol was. I'd be interested in knowing where you get that decal paper from, too! | |

| Need something for 'me' to do now. Found this poking it's head out of the shed. We'll have to drag it out, dust it off and get on with it. | |

| Looks remarkably something Corsican.... Rather coincidently as there are serious problems with the new AMG railcars. Corsican RailwaysPerhaps the 3 remaining venerable ABHs will get a reprise. Class 25 looks fantastic. | |
