Swiss Red Arrow Double Railcar at Zurich main station tonight

This double railcar, built in 1939, is know as the Red Arrow (or Red Double Arrow). After transporting Churchill around Switzerland during his visit to Switzerland in 1946, it also became known as the Churchill Arrow. Its top speed is 150 km/h and it seats 112 in appropriate comfort. This pic was taken tonight at Zurich main station, where it was acting as a cocktail and cigar lounge. O tempora o mores    But least the cigars were appropriate.

Vintage stuff, very nice. 

As we say in France "Les goûts et les couleurs, cela ne se discute pas!". Though very fond of Switzerland  from many, many years, I find this railcar realy ugly! Switzerland has produced such beautiful locs especially for the Saint-Gothard line, but this one....is very special, a little like the first De Dion!

Classically ugly, as you say I think.
