... ah well, better late than never - but only just, I admit.

I've finally gotten round to cobbling together a set of pics from a visit my dear wife and I undertook to see Carl back in October.

You can see them here:

A great time was had, thanks again to Carl and family for putting up with us.

Nice set of pics Clive, well worth waiting for.
Carl; how long has your line been established?;it seems more realistic with the sheer amount of trees you have planted!.

As you say Mikey well worth the wait. Carls line looks very realistic, all down to the detail and the trees of course.

Thanks Clive for posting an interesting set a pictures from angles that I wouldn't take. - your knee joints must be more supple than mine. Smile

There isn't very much detail on my railway. The focal point is course the one station, Chelles-sur-Marne (which is nearly real. There is Chelles-Gournay the official SNCF station and we are on the river Marne). Apart from the station there is just a Pola signal box, a water tower, a chapel and a small halt shelter. These have all weathered well into their surroundings

The first tracks were laid down in 2003 and right from the start I planted trees and shrubs along its route. In fact some of these existed before actual track went down.
Now nearly six years later the 'miniature' trees (French garden centres lie) are quite mature.
In fact that is the real work on this modest line and come February I shall be out in earnest pruning and shaping ready for spring. This next year I may have to cull a few of the 'miniatures' and replace them.

Maybe what I should do is try and find some early pics of the birth of the line.

Don't forget visitors are always welcome here. The house is chaos but there are more important things. Very Happy

You're very welcome Carl. In fact most of the pics I posted were cropped from the originals; mainly to clear away any background which might have compromised the look, but also in a couple of cases to frame the subject of interest in close-up. Believe me, my knees are no particular examples of good health!
