Thanks Clive for posting an interesting set a pictures from angles that I wouldn't take. - your knee joints must be more supple than mine.
There isn't very much detail on my railway. The focal point is course the one station, Chelles-sur-Marne (which is nearly real. There is Chelles-Gournay the official SNCF station and we are on the river Marne). Apart from the station there is just a Pola signal box, a water tower, a chapel and a small halt shelter. These have all weathered well into their surroundings
The first tracks were laid down in 2003 and right from the start I planted trees and shrubs along its route. In fact some of these existed before actual track went down.
Now nearly six years later the 'miniature' trees (French garden centres lie) are quite mature.
In fact that is the
real work on this modest line and come February I shall be out in earnest pruning and shaping ready for spring. This next year I may have to cull a few of the 'miniatures' and replace them.
Maybe what I should do is try and find some early pics of the birth of the line.
Don't forget visitors are always welcome here. The house is chaos but there are more important things.
