Points spring? Empty
PostSubject: Points spring?   Points spring? EmptySat Feb 28, 2009 7:44 am

Some time ago on French ebay i bought 3 LGB R2 points 'to restore' for a really good price. When they arrived the seller had included a couple of pieces of rail but unfortunately there wasnt enough to do a proper job. I converted one point into a curve and another into a straight.Made one good point;

but there is no spring to keep it in place anyone got any ideas for making one? ( all points are manually controlled)

I made some points from Peco code 250 rail a while back and copied their over centre spring.

For LGB code 332 rail you may need a heavier gauge wire...maybe some an old g string (from a guitar.... Embarassed )
