I made a simple coaling stage tonight, in an effort to get "Garsten Depot more complete.

Had some very good running days over the Easter Holiday, lovely weather as well !

Faux Débutant.....

I went to the G Rail Exhibition in Nottingham today and met Andy MzB and John.
I bought this V52 off John - thank you, it runs very well indeed.

Andy has given me several tips on how to change a few small details so that it replicates the "VL 21" of the StLB which ran on that line up until 1999, afterwhich it went back to serve on the Rugen Island line where it originally served.
Strictly speaking the loco should be a V51 (Which ran on 750mm gauge track, the V52 was gauged for 1000mm track), but It is only a matter of altering the number.

"VL21" guise.
I just need to paint the cab "nose" re and the cab roof grey with blackened sides.

Took this video last night after I had fitted a new smoke unit to the rear Stainz lok.
I tend to run these two together - hence the power connection wires between them.
Smoke production is quite good for the Seuthe/Graupner unit.

I have "electrified" the upper level of my line so that I can run a new 0-4-0 Mixnitz steeple cab.

(The posts are dummies with no wire, but I had to put something up with an electric loco running).
The posts are very simple, 6mm diameter dowels with a steel coat hanger bent to shape.
Matt brown spray finish over the finished article.
