Someone asked me recently about the diesel locotracteurs on the Chemin de Fer de la Baie de la Somme.
I found a picture of one of these unique engines that I took in 2005.
This is one of the 'twins' in service which were built locally at Lumbres by an engineering company in 1951. They served on another line in Flandres before being bought by the CFBS in 1957 for goods traffic.
There is some interesting history and information on their website. CFBS diesels
There is actually a third locomotive with different bodywork and built by the same company but this is out of service at the moment.
