PostSubject: Work train   Work train EmptyThu Feb 04, 2010 11:50 am

Hello,

Starting a post on a project to built a work train. The idea evolve from at first a draisine (I have already one) to a work train (talks start in the post about IIm gabarit).

Here the first drawing from scratch :

Work train Draisi11

After few days of looking for an engine able to do a lot of things on a line, I ended up with this second drawing. This engine as to be electric (might one day have catenary) and diesel. It have to be able to carry different type of equipement for the work along the line.

I like work trains.

Your design looks a little like pumped-up version of this:
Work train 23330

A similar concept from across the pond:
Work train Undec-Orange-Linecar

Could this be a starting point for a kit-bash? (It's already the correct color!)

Got the last one in red (just the locomotive) Very Happy

Yes, I saw them and thought I want something like it, as well I look at some real one and some RHB. I don't go yet into details, just the shape so I could do it.

I use to see the yellow train in the Pyrénnées since I was very young, my Grand Mother had a house in Villefrance de Conflant.

I was watching the train from the top bedroom and we use it a lot to go in the mountain for a walk and Spain to spend the day in Puigcerda or Llivia.

I presume I start to love yellow train from there. Very Happy
