Some of you - don´t snigger at the back - may remember the film "A Nous les Petites Anglaises", a sensitive masterpiece concerning the coming of age of French schoolboys in England ... we British of course, have the St Trinians films to which I dedicate this Darjeeling "B", soon to be renamed ...

BTW. I would never trust my daughter with these French boys although I don't think I'll have much choice.

Ah, yes, the Wickham railcar, last seen in the St Trinians Great Train Robbery ... now there´s an idea ...

And in the meantime, motive power for the Gn15 hop garden line makes its appearance, fresh from the paint shop.

Things are moving again with the completion of the branch line from the hop garden to the "main line" ... where hops are finally transferred ...

Some more pictures of progress - or otherwise on the line. The Kentish clapboard town gate is actually based on the one in Sandwich, but needs some more landscaping - and some tree replanting.

Great pics! Just shows what fantastic detail can be achieved!

The town gate´s (pinched from Sandwich, Kent) position is actually a Plan B decision. I had intended to have it behind the viaduct with the new cottages and the mill, but - of course - the viaduct actually pretty much obscured the view. You can see part of the Plan A "intended" position of the town gate to the left of the new flint cottages. But it was not to be.

So, Plan B it was, up with the rest of the clapboard stuff above the upper loop. Eage-eyed CGTers will of course have noticed (see photo above) that the right-hand side of the gate house now projects into thin air until the landscaping gets done.

This layout is becomming a true masterpiece! It is a joy to see it grow every time. I love the little Gn15 train btw!!

A quick trip round the line from building to building ....

 

The Swift Sixteen tram kit has just arrived back lined out by Geoff @ Light Line looking considerably more presentable than in its previous form. I found some nice LED lamps as well.

I looked at that kit but it looked a deal more complex than the S16 Owain

You can do a version without the fiddly tubes on top. The rest is just about bending things, plus the odd bit to stick on.

I managed to get hold of a second-hand Peckett, seen behind the Quarry Hunslet. It´s now repainted and lined out, and takes its place in front of the Decauvilles, still waiting for lining out. France and Wales are now a steps closer together.

Back to school on the K&NWLR with the dawn run provided by the new Bedford OB bus, now converted to 45mm railbus duties.

I love the bus and the dual gauge track.  What power unit have you got in the Bedford?

I have to admit that I recycled the power unit out of an RIP scratch-building job which is many years old, so I can´t even say. Sorry.

Playing around on the line late last night, I realised that it was really dark .... so I thought well, take a couple of pics .....

Spring cleaning on the line. A new arrival, an Archangel Cyprus Govt. 2-6-0 tender loco gets the treatment.

Back from a major overhaul, this NG16 made by Accucraft, starts testing on the upper loop of the K&NWLR.

I had an old Peter Angus Single Fairlie repainted and lined out by Matt Acton. Looks very nice. Livery to match Cyprus Govt loco above.
