A G scale friend donated a dismantled Stainz to my railway.

After I had removed the motor and all other useful spares, I applied a commercial product to acheive this look.
With hind sight, if you use iron filings mixed with PVA (paint onto object and allow to dry) then apply vinegar to the surface, you will get the same effect at less than half the price.

Here is another pic before the tarpaulin was put over the cab and a plate put on the spark arrester to stop birds nesting.....
