I will get some tickets and post them on.

French Taxis are about the same as in England.....expensive!

From the hotel there will be lots of people going to the exhibition as most of the guests will be exhibitors with cars and vans. If you are bold enough you can ask for a lift. Cool I don't believe anyone will refuse.

If you are absolutely stuck I'm sure I can arrange something.

Anton, a taxi from Massy to the Dome is about £15 and you can get estimates from this site

http://www.worldtaximeter.com/paris

Carl, do you leave your locos overnight at the Expo and who covers the insurance ?

Insurance....Glad you reminded me! Idea

I am covered (need to get a copy of certificate...) by home insurance for my hobby, objects and 3 party whether at home or away including exhibitions but not trading.

I don't think it will cover your items unless you donate them to me.... Laughing

I believe that travel insurance should cover these things. Mine used to in the UK but that was 'pre-Blair' days.

I leave all my stuff lightly covered up at the expo and have no worries over security which is manned 24 hrs. There are stands with an awful lot more 'high end' goodies.

This may be of interest regarding insurance cover for locomotives whilst away from home e.g. at the Paris Villebon expo.

My travel insurance is limited to £400 of baggage.
My home insurance with Direct Line only applies to the British Isles.

As I was not covered I have taken out a policy with Walker Midgley of Sheffield who specialise in steam powered models amongst other things. I think the cost will work out at about £10 per £1000 insured pa.

I think it needs another steam loco pic to balance it up...?

The railcar is excellent but I think it just needs clarifying that it's not diesel.

Maybe if you changed the heading on that page to 'Live Diesel and Battery Electric'
And then maybe the other page with just 'Live Steam'.....?

The text on the back....mmm

Maybe some general info about garden Railways...?

'G scale' is a term used for Garden railways with 45mm track gauge.....etc.

Or if anyone else would like to contribute, it would be most welcome.
Even some trumpet blowing, mentioning some of the excellent personal railways that feature on the forum.
Perhaps a couple of illustrative sentences about the Tramway Demiel...Mikey?

Apart from that, a JOB EXCEEDINGLY WELL DONE Anton.

When it's finally finished can you send it to me and I will print as many as I can.

Yes another steam locomotive would make it look very nice, so is anyone else bringing such a loco?

Ive changed the headings so it all reads fine now...

I would love it for people to come forward and try to add some tect for the back, as i really wouldnt know where to start or what to say....

Thankyou Smile and When its done, i will send it to you in publisher format if thats okay as it will be easiest for you to print like that i think...

Give until about Wednesday Anton, if not I'll write something.

On another issue for railexpo.

I will now be staying at the Campanile hotel which is next to the Première Class at Villejust.

Can anyone who is staying without friends or family in the vincinity on Saturday night please let me know.

As mentioned somewhere before.
Paul and David Grantham will have exhibitor badges/tickets for all three days as they agreed to help first.

Anyone who comes with a locomotive to run (steam, diesel or electric) will have entrance and lunch paid for and be looked after.
(That includes people not on this forum of which there are a few).

Anyone else who comes for a visit will receive a good welcome and a nice cup of tea.
And there maybe some complimentary tickets left.

Only 2 weeks to go! king

Anton, GREAT work on the brochure!
Indeed an other steamer would be very nice. Perhaps Carl's Regner (his own or the new one?).

Maybe on the backside a little story on how CG Trains once began and what it is today? A small but very lively forum with members from all over the world (I see frequent posters from France, UK, Spain USA, India and that Dutch guy.... I believe also Swiss and Ireland?).

Carl, the leaflet was sent this morning. Please let me know if you can open if okay. It would look nice if you could add another steam locomotive to the steam page (even if it isnt going to be coming to the expo). Smile

For those coming to and staying Friday night.

Do you feel like eating together at the Campanile restaurant in the hotel?

If so I will try and reserve a table as it will get busy but I need to know how many including family.

David, Liam, Paul, Anton and anyone else please pm/e mail me.

Will do Anton,

I presume everyone is going to the Campanile
AVENUE DES 2 LACS ZI DE COURTABOEUF 7
91971 Villejust
Téléphone : 01 69 31 16 17

This one is almost on the next roundabout after crossing the A10 south at junction 9
and about 15 mins walk from the expo. The Premiere Classe is in the same car park. Wink

If for some unforseable reason I can't reserve a table or whatever. We can meet in the bar/foyer and decide where else to go/or what do do!

Be Careful because there is another one (Campanile)not far away on the other side of the A10 autoroute at Les Ulis but also called ZI DE COURTABOEUF.

+ My wife sent off RER tickets to you today.

++ I converted the leaflet to a Word doc so I can edit in some more pics and text. I now have to finish and print it by Thursday.... bounce

Exciting...trailer loaded and packed ready to roll. Just the Twingo to do on Wednesday and off Thursday am. king

If you get closer with googlemap, you endup on google streetview, the sideway of the road, it's grass mostly, not a pass. It's better to wear something highly visible, it's dark early in the evening.
